WHOOPI GOLDBERG (Producer) is one of an elite group of artists who have won the Academy Award, Grammy, Emmy and a Tony. She got her start on stage and was last seen on Broadway in Xanadu. She earned a Tony nomination for her return to the Lyceum Theatre, commemorating the 20th anniversary of her original one-woman show. She starred in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and produced and starred in the revival of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. She won the Tony for producing Thoroughly Modern Millie, prior to producing the hit West End production of Sister Act: The Musical, which is currently running on Broadway. She has appeared in over 50 films and is currently the moderator of ABC’s “The View.” In addition to her successful film and television career, she is also a best-selling author.

 

HOLLY WAY (Producer) As a marketing & business strategist, Holly will be the first to share that she has no business setting foot on stage, but she is in awe of those who do and honored to produce and promote their magic. Holly produced the New Orleans premiere of White Noise in the summer of 2009 and was the very first to take advantage of the Louisiana state Live Performance Tax Credits, designed to make the state as popular with theatre producers as it is with filmmakers. Prior to launching her own company, Holly enjoyed a 16-year career as a marketing executive in the highly competitive gaming industry, primarily with the largest provider of branded casino entertainment, Harrah’s Entertainment (now known as Caesars Entertainment).  As Vice President of Brand Activation, Holly developed groundbreaking promotional initiatives, events and strategic partnerships for all 14 of the company’s nationwide brands. Based in New Orleans with a passion for arts and entertainment, Holly serves on the board of the Arts Council and chairs both the development and marketing committees.

 

JAY STROMMEN (Producer) Jay Strommen is Vice President and principal of PDinstore, a leading provider of visual merchandising and story telling for the world’s leading brands and retailers. While he has overseen countless national groundbreaking rollouts and initiatives, he is quick to state that White Noise is the greatest show he has ever produced. As a father of four he is committed to sharing his success with causes that have the power to make true and lasting contributions to society. An avid supporter of youth outreach programs, including YouthFrontiers.org, Jay was drawn to the potential power of White Noise early on and is proud to work with such an amazing team to make this a reality.  “Bring it.”

 

JIMMY MACK (Producer) Born and raised in New York, Jim Mack has led a diverse life both in and out of the arts. As President of JD Mack & Company, he has been involved in commercial real estate for 28 years as a mortgage broker, developer and investor. White Noise is his first theatrical production.

 

 

DEBORAH TAYLOR (Producer) Broadway: Tony Award winning American Idiot; Tony Award winning La Cage aux Folles; Elling with Brendan Fraser and Denis O’Hare. Off Broadway: Abe Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party, Street Lights (NYMF 2009). Represented: Eve Ensler’s TheGoodbody, Shockheaded Peter. She is the former producing director for The Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles. Producer: The Last Schwartz by Deborah Zoe Laufer, and Slasher by Allison Moore. In San Francisco, the award winning production of Tracy Letts’s Killer Joe (Magic Theatre). Regional theatre credits include: Producing Director, New Works / Marin Theatre Company. Producer, The Global Age Project, New Works /Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. Producing Consultant, Playwrights Foundation, San Francisco. Projects in development: Dance of the Holy Ghost, directed by Kenny Leon, 2012 and Vesturports; Metamorphoses with Gisli Gardarsson. Ms. Taylor currently serves on the board of Moises Kaufman’s TECTONIC THEATRE COMPANY and is an Auxiliary Board Member with the San Francisco Ballet. She is a member of THE BROADWAY LEAGUE, TCG, NYWIFT, and The SF Film Arts Association Francisco.

 

CHRIS BENSINGER (Producer) Born and raised in Chicago. Graduated from Francis Parker High School.Broadway- Tony Award winner for producing Best Revival, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES- 2010, Tony nominated for Best Musical for producing AMERICAN IDIOT-2010, Off Broadway STREET LIGHTS, New York Music Festival. Regional- THE PRINCES AND THE BLACK EYED PEA, San Diego Rep. Currently in development on a musical adaptation of REAL WOMAN HAVE CURVES by Josefina Lopez and co-conceiving an original musical with acclaimed playwright Marcus Gardley and award winning composer Andrew Chukerman called Song of Paradise.

 

TOM LEONARDIS (Producer) As President of Whoopi Goldberg’s company, Whoop, Inc., Leonardis is Goldberg’s producing partner and oversees development. Goldberg and Leonardis are responsible for numerous projects currently in various stages of development and production in virtually every entertainment medium. Leonardis is a Tony-nominated producer for Goldberg’s Whoopi…The 20th Anniversary commemorating the anniversary of her one-woman show on Broadway. Leonardis and Goldberg also produced the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as the hit West End production of Sister Act: The Musical currently on Broadway.

 

JESSICA LEWIS (Associate Producer) Jessica has been involved in White Noise for nearly 5 years, having found the show in the 2006 New York Musical Theater Festival, and continues to help foster its growth. After dedicating many years to theatrical and live entertainment production – work that took her all over the world – in 2009 she assumed the post of Senior Managing Editor of BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net, for which she controls operations and routinely interviews Broadway’s A-list talent. She is a graduate of Brown University and has worked professionally in production for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, managing the 2006-2006 season, Rights and Reasons Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop, and for the producers of Damn Yankees, Dinner with Friends, Hats!, Stomp and more.

 

KEVIN SPIRTAS (Associate Producer) A 25-year Broadway, film & television actor, Kevin moved into producing with critically acclaimed Finian’s Rainbow followed by Priscilla Queen Of The Desert and White Noise.

LAURIE FRIEDMAN (Associate Producer) Laurie launched her producing career with a series of dance videos, featuring reknowned breakdancer Crazy Legs uniquely teaching kids to dance. She works in film and TV, most recently known for creating an Emmy award winning TV series ORION for South African television. Her executive theatre credits include the Paris production of A STEADY RAIN, a play she was instrumental in bringing to Broadway that will soon begin its French tour. Involved with two forthcoming theatre projects, she also runs her own production company, Jungle Media Ltd, that has two films in development.
